Top Places to Visit in Namibia

Take a trip to Namibia, wedged between the Kalahari and the South Atlantic, you will cherish it for a lifetime. Situated in southern Africa, this majestic destination shares border with Angola and Zambia and it is one of the prime adventure destinations in Africa. Windhoek

Windhoek, Namibia's capital and largest city that offers a myriad of attractions to explore. Housed in south-central Namibia, Keetmanshoop is 10 just hours from Windhoek by train. Take some time out from your travel itinerary and check out the Keetmanshoop Museum. This museum is housed in the old mission church that showcases natural history along with the historical documents and the Nama culture. Those who have love for nature and like to see plants of different species, a visit to the Megasaurus Camp is a must. Luderitz


Situated at 350 km west of Keetmanshoop, Luderitz is the most popular old German coastal town of Namibia. This town is very well-known for its distinctive German atmosphere, mesmerizing waterfront and colonial style buildings that reflects the Art Nouveau style architecture. Take a walking tour of this alluring town with your lover and check out the German Imperial Style architecture. This city is home to a plethora of attractions from the likes of Bogenfels Rock Arch, Diaz Point, Felsenkirche, Goerke Haus, Kolmanskop and many more.

Swakopmund

Stroll down the old German colonial buildings or challenge your friends to a game of beach volleyball at Swakopmund Beach, Swakopmund is a thriving city of Namibia. Housed at the coast of northwestern Namibia, Swakopmund is the country's biggest coastal town. This city is home to plenty of travel worthy attractions. Enjoy four-wheel tour of this city on Quad-bikes or go for horse-riding at Okakambe Trails, from camel safaris to seeing rare species of birds at Swakop River mouth, there won't be a dull moment during your vacation at Swakopmund.



Walvis Bay

Connected with the Walvis Bay Airport and situated at Namibia's west coast Walvis Bay is an interesting city to visit. This destination is also the only commercial port of the country. Those who are interested in Kite Surfing they can straight head to the lagoon to ride the scintillating waves.  Here you can also go for fishing with your buddies. Rent the boat and fishing equipments and enjoy fishing at Sandwich Harbour. After spending a day of fishing with your friends, you should refresh yourself at The Raft Restaurant and Bar. It is a lively bar and bistro that offers beers, whiskey along with sizzlers.
