Peak Sites to See In San Francisco

The best tour of San Francisco! Mostly because it uses a take apart Tour Guide from driver, but also since they make the most stops than any other equal tour. Tour highlights include: Guided Walk through Chinatown, Lombard Street (downhill walk), The Golden Gate Bridge, Painted Ladies, and The Castro Theater.
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • China Town
  • Lombard Street
  • Painted Ladies
  • The Castro Theater

The Golden Gate Bridge is possibly the closest likeness of San Francisco. Production began in 1933 and publicly opened May 28, 1937. It connects San Francisco and Sausalito. The outlook is fantastic, except when covered in mist, so desire your time carefully.

China Town began in 1848 with the coming of the first Chinese immigrants, two men and one feminine. Today it is crammed with lots of oriental shops, grocery stores and restaurant of every promising tang. It is easy to burn up a day in China Town.

Lombard Street said to be the malice street in the globe, winds down the rise for a division of a mile. It winds through 8 hairpin turns, called "switchbacks," and covered with bricks. The speed limit of the street, which is one way effortless, is 5 MPH. The advice is to set at the top of the avenue and look down, not constrain down.

Painted Ladies is the period for the multihued Victorian houses one sees facing the streets. Elizabeth Pomada and Michael Larsen first had worn the word in their book printed in 1978.

The Castro Theater began as a Nickelodeon in 1908, touching to its recent location and fetching the stage in 1922. It is one of only a little theaters from that time that have survived. It seats over 1,400 and is an immense location if one has the point.
